Daystone privacy policy
This policy describes the Daystone playtest version. It will be updated before the game is released.
Who we are
Daystone is published by Haldara LLC, 200 Greenville St Ste C, Newnan, GA 30263, USA. Contact: support@haldara.com.
Who can play
Daystone is for people 13 and older. The playtest version does not yet ask for your age, so please do not play if you are under 13.
What we collect
- An anonymous player id. The first time you open Daystone it creates a guest account on our server. It has no name or email. It lets the game remember your runs, Daily results, streak, shards and settings.
- An optional username and password. If you create an account we store the username and a hashed password. We do not collect an email address in this version.
- Your plays, if you accept. Each run: the board, your moves, scores, chains, the Daily date, your fair or unfair ratings and timing. If you decline the data notice, none of this is saved and you play on the standard rules.
- Difficulty adjustments, if you accept. The game may nudge Endless difficulty by one tier based on your skill and history. It never changes your score or rewards and never affects the Daily. About one in ten players stays on the standard rules for comparison.
- Device speed. Screen size, frame rate and load times, so lag can be fixed.
- Notes you send. The text of any note you send from the menu, and the run it refers to if you pick one.
- A tester label. A name you type, if you choose to, so that several of your devices count as one tester.
- Ad decisions. Whether an ad offer would be shown and why. Ads in this version are simulated, and no ad company receives data.
Our host, Cloudflare, receives technical details such as your IP address, browser type and the time of each request, to deliver the game and protect it from abuse. Cloudflare's own privacy policy covers that processing.
We do not collect your location, contacts, photos or microphone. We do not sell personal data. This version has no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK and no purchases.
How we use it
To run the game and the Daily, keep your progress, find and fix bugs and lag, check that difficulty is fair and, with your consent, tune the difficulty engines.
Where it is kept, and for how long
On our servers at Cloudflare (Workers, Durable Objects and D1). Data stays until you delete it. Data you did not consent to save is not stored.
Your choices
- Delete your data any time in the game: Settings, then Delete my saved data. See how deletion works.
- Decline the data notice to play without saving anything.
Children
Daystone is not for children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used it, write to support@haldara.com and we will delete the data.
